New Artwork Now Live: The Possibilities Collection (inspired by threads of possibility we hold onto in the face of constant change)
THE INSPIRATION
Lately I have felt in a state of in between… where I was and where I'm going, who I was and who I'm becoming. It's had me feeling a little bit claustrophobic, and work I'd made earlier in the year wasn't resonating with me anymore. After I painted over some of it and put some to the side to make room to play, I ended up starting a new series inspired by the threads of possibility we hold onto in the face of constant change, featuring watercolor, charcoal, acrylic and thin gold line work, as a reminder that the world is full of wonder and possibility if you know where to look.
This has been a strange, sometimes wonder-filled and sometimes stressful year as I transitioned out of the corporate job I'd been in for almost ten years. I know there are threads of possibility all around, so that's what I painted with these pieces, as a reminder to myself on the days I start to forget.
I'd love to hear back from you - just hit reply and let me know what's going on in your world that is bringing you wonder, or if you needed this reminder, too.
THE ARTWORK
The POSSIBILITIES collection includes 24 pieces on paper ranging from small studies and collage to large works on gorgeous high quality watercolor with a deckled edge. My studio practice has been evolving as I’m creating work that gives me more breathing room and working more with watercolor. I hope you love these pieces as much as I do.
